  • 1982(?) RG250 'fighter. My father-in-laws toy.

My father in law has a very nice V-Strom as a daily ride, but he sent me some photos today of his toy.

I wish I had some pictures of it in the last state I saw it in. Looking a bit old, tired and sorry for itself, damaged faring and beaten up old white paintwork.

He stripped the faring, custom fabricated a few bits and pieces, and this is where it is today. I'm loving it.

It's a little bit like Frankenstein's monster, but I'm loving it so much.

    My dad is awesome

I love that if he can't find something for the purpose, he just wanders down the shed and makes it.

Wish I had half the talent your dad does.

The front looks awesome... the back looks like a lego brick though! Does he have any further plans for it?

Yeah, stock rear end at the moment.

Budget is zero dollars, just playing with what he has on hand. Be interesting to see what he could fashion up for the back end, but I think he's pretty happy with what he's done. Spending time on it is his relaxation time.

            Tidier.

Of course he'd have to repair his fence afterwards, and the electrics could be a bit fidgety... but that's what I'd look to do
