  • Swingarm Removal

    Hi all,

I need to remove/refit the swingarm on my 2006 Gixxr 1000.

Can anyone that has done this share how they supported the bike for this to happen, and if there is a support used that anyone could lend me it would be much appreciated.

    Cheers Guys

Have you got aftermarket rearsets with fixed foot pegs ?

If so you could use a set of stands that lift the pegs. We just used a set of car stands.
Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.

Once you have cracked all the nuts & bolts place the bike on a rear stand and tie it to the roof (tie downs work well) then take the stand away.
