  • How to change the idle

Ok so the lil VTR 250 is revving what I perceive to be a bit low,
It's sitting on around 900 I spose which means I really need to give it a fistful as I take off. I was wondering if anyone knew how I can change it.

There should be a little adjustment knob near your carbies, that you can screw in and out to adjust the revs. Might want to check your throttle cable to make sure it's not too slack.

From the workshop manual, page 3-17: (http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/foru...-manual-29753/)

      - Warm up the engine
      - Make sure the bike is supported and level, as inclination can affect idling rpm
      - Check idle rpm after "sufficient" warmup
      - Should be 1300 +/- 100 rpm
      - Turn the throttle stop screw on a carburetor to adjust
