  • Oggy Knobs

Oggy nobs, I'm thinking of getting some. How much would that be?
Just incase it falls over, tho it should never unless someone pushes it over.

If your bike falls over or is pushed thy will save most of your fairings.. But in the Isle of Mann TT last year one rider crashed and his bike was fucked but the Knobs were perfect so the bike did a great job of protecting his oggy Knobs. They are mainly for low sides or as i said you knock it off the stand or something.

Frame Sliders or 'Oggy nobs' (named after the ausi company that makes them) are the best mod dollars u can spend on your bike. As most bikes are droped from parking speeds rather than big arse crashes, they pretty much leave the fairing and crank case intact and just damage the mirrors, indicators, leavers and pegs.

Can turn a slow speed crash that would normally be over a grand damage to only a few hundred.

Go to Causeway Honda and ask for Pete. He will look after u.

if ya dont need to "cut the fairing" (leave it Pac), then you can get them to fit...it might need a bit of work, i had to get high tencile bolts made and spacers put in for mine but - TADA I got em

                      hope it helps

My mate had some fitted on his YZF600 (94). He stacked it at Wanneroo raceway (low side when front wheel locked) and it ripped them clean out, including half the bolt holding them in... Bummer having a bolt in a thread and no head to undo it with...B-(

Mind you he was doing about 160 ish

As I mentioned, they are for a SLOW SPEED crash.

At substaintial speed, nothing short of a Titanium roll cage is guna help u.

That said, I've seen plenty of pics of bikes with the race versions of crash bungs, and quality ones, ones with a nice bike specific length etc... where they've slid the bike out coming into a corner, its gone for a LONG ski along the track.. bike comes up fine.

Crash bungs can save quite a bit, as long as the bike doesnt tumble... And you have nice solid ones, NOT CHEAP AUSTRALIAN CRAP ONES... *ahem*
