    Hey guys,

trying to get the DS80 run again, it's been a year or so since I've got her out of the shed and have finally got time to look at getting her going again.

Just having some trouble though, I reckon I've narrowed it down to the carby but I'll explain:

    - definitely has spark
    - brand new spark plug
    - fresh fuel
    - fuel tap seems to work fine, can hear it trickling into the carby.
    - kicks over but doesn't start.
    - when I put fuel in the spark plug hole she goes for a second or so then dies.
    - Took off the carby, gave it a clean out with fuel and put it back together. Nothing really in there it was bone dry.

    - I know the idling pin and plunger (ie throttle connection to the carby) has been messed with.
    - started at fully in minus around 2.5 turns with the idling pin and went to 4.5 turns but no change. Not sure if I should go a lot further?

    Dunno, I'm stumped. Any thoughts?

Is the float stuck, or set wrong?

    Idle or main jets blocked.

Hey mate, thanks for the thoughts. I had a close look and realised I had the plunger in the carby in backwards lol. Cleaned out the jet, put it in properly and she has life again.

Feel like an idiot for that one, but at least it's sorted now.
