  • Baffle Designs CBR250R

Whilst looking at ways to cheaply quieten my obnoxious CBR250R, I found an image suggesting the exhaust system has two baffles, one of which being the 'low volume' one.

I have the baffle with the perforations, but it looks like there's another without any holes - would this be the 'low volume' one that was mentioned?

I'm fairly sure this one wasn't passed on when I bought the bike, so I'm wondering if there's a way to get a replacement (Google thus-far has been unhelpful) or whether it's easy enough to fabricate one.

    Any advice appreciated.

I would, if that were an option.

Apparently I'm looking in the wrong place to buy one then.

Just call Extrem Performance/Screaming Demon in the link and see if you can get a low volume insert as per THIS for $39
The link says it's for the SD-R exhaust and that the one with the perforations is the "low volume" baffle which seems odd, they look the same baffles though I have an Ixil exhaust similar but my baffles are all solid tubes just different diameters, the smallest one sounds about the same as my stock BB exhausts (very quiet) the medium which I have in has a nice note and you can remove it entirely to make it quite a bit louder Still quieter than most Hardleys though

EDIT: Are you actually running with the perforated baffle in place? If so I can't see that it should be "THAT" loud

$50. And that'll buff right out

Yeah - it just sounds like crap! Not sure why anyone would spend that much money on a 250 exhaust.

Offer to swap your aftermarket pipe with a newb.
