what sort of finish is on the pipes, cos theres a few methods you can use that may damage certain finishes.
i've heard a few people talking about plugging one end of the pipe and filling it with water and caustic soda... not sure about that one...
oxy torch will soon sort it out.....
bung her full of degreaser and leave it for a while. should loosen up a fair bit of oil etc.
