  • wanna go a liittttle bit more on ya 2fiddy?

i've noticed my zx2 cutsout at 190...initially i thought it was a fuel starvation prob but i've now realised that its got a bloody speed limiter. I know its only a 2fiddy... but the cutout is bloody annoying and unsettles the bike while doing the speed as it kicks in and out, very uncomfortable feeling.. :?

looks like there's a fix for babyblades. doin some mods to hall effect sensor in the speedo that triggers the timing retard.

i'm thinking a similar system is applied on the zx2..
can anyone confirm this for me before i rip my speedo open to check it out?

at least this way i won't have to stay in the RGV's stinky smoke trail..

Are you sure it's a speed limiter dude?

Have u looked at the tacho? Are you sure your not in 6th at redline?

My first bike was a ZX-2R and just think.......do you really want to be doing 190km/h on a bike that doesn't have the handling or braking capabilities for those sorts of speeds.

I think you will find that around the 200 km/h mark is redline in 6th gear.
Just go and get your R class learners, get a big bike and come out riding with other people with r class licence's.

that's what they all tell me... and that's what i'll be saying too if i had R class and a bigger bike. i still got some waiting period before i can get a R learner.. in the mean time i'm gonna fudge as much speed out of this thing as possible...

            RGV still stinks..

wtf.. I didn't realise you could do that.. I thought you had to wait until you had your R-E licence for a year before you could go onto your R L's ... sweet
Right now Im having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think Ive forgotten this before.

Wouldnt you get better use out of takin a couple of teeth out the sprocket? Increase the acceleration rather then try and get a higher top end?

Just a thought, personally havent tried it.

jengi- lol. what oil are you running?

zipdrive - maybe you should learn how to ride better round corners etc instead of just learning how to hold it in a straight line....
                              just a thought
