    Hey guys,

    Story as follows.
1- Get major service on bike alls working fine
200k later the coolant leakage issue as posted in another thread was found to be the o-ring somebody had mentioned.
2- Get service done to fix that and get new clutch and springs and watever else they could charge me for.
45km later.. im riding alls working fine.. 30seconds after i hop off the bike and taking gear off.. BOOM.. massive cloud of steam and coolant spurting out everywhere...

soo.. seeing im no mechanic .. can anyone tell me what the hell happened.
And based on the above answer.. is kawasaki liable for said issue.

    Thanks guys

    damn kawasaki lemons..

Ha... yeah I made the bet it was the 'O' ring.

Sounds like a hose has blown or popped off.

If it happened 45kms after a service I would have to say Krapasaki are responsible.

Especially considering a Major Service is supposed to cover bike inspection

id go with what bart said
coolant hose either cracked or come off

i just wonder, if your leaking past orings, and blowing off coolant hoses, is the radiator cap doing what it should?

hot water expands and increases pressure, radiator cap lets some water into the overflow bottle so the pressure doesnt get too high (1.1bar i think)

not sure if kawasaki would cover it or not. depends on if the hose (assuming it is a hose) is one that they had touched or not, and if it cracked or if it simply came off. not a huge expense, but still make mention of the fact they are the only ones to ever touch the cooling system and see how you go.

Thanks for that duffman, sounds like a viable option, but also something to keep in mind, might have to look at flushing out the system and making sure its working properly.

get a trailer and take it back to them and tell them you want it fixed. if somethings broken or near broken they should have picked it up.
