ZZR 250 - Oil

Hello.

I had a loook at a 1993ZZR 250 this afternoon. It was in reasonably mint condition. However, on the right hand side of the bike, where clutch cable connects down into, where you fill up oil (theres a plug that you can unscrew) there was oil on the silver housing there. It looks as if it had come down from the tap but i am not sure.

huh?? Where is this oil you speak of? If ya talking about the black oil cap there is an 'o' ring that seals that.

haha- see those faint line running down. they are actually oil and there was a bit of oil around the bottom of the cap and below.. near the clutch cable end.

I wiped the oil, then thought i should take a photo. (smart )

The only way oil is really going to run down there is when your filling it. Even with the cap off bugger all if not none will come out from there. Was it fresh?

was taking for a ride before i noticed it...

Should be ok. At most you will have to change the o ring.
