I don't mean to be cruel,but if you don't know how to do it,don't bloody touch it
Get some-one who knows how to do it show(not tell)you how its done,its a simple thing but it can be expensive(and not real safe) if done wrong

Yeah I agree with (looks up)...
But if you have the right tools (not the standard kit crap) (thanks to bigbird I knew what and where to get some decent toosl) and a bike stand (or centre stand) to place the back off the ground etc. also the bike manual, which should be under the seat... then if you read it on how to do first and get an understanding, then you should be ok, but if unsure then definately (looks up) what he said....
Well I haven't had any probs so far doing it myself, afterwards take her for a run and if feels fine, give a bit of a squirt, then check to make sure it hasn't moved from the markers...

can anyone tell me the best way (and easiest)to tighten up a chain...

my is fucked after the other nights ride ... it has about a inch of play in it ..

or is it just time to go see pete at causeway and do the lot ????

..yep its time for the doctor to operate...Hewie if its got a tight spot, its time to replace the lot, you must always replace chain and sprockets as a set, for obvious reasons. If you wanna come past work sometime I'll be more than happy to take you to "how to look after your chain, class 101"
