    Just been given some baffles from another type of aftermarket pipe that seem to fit and work in my microns, which I want to tone down a little , but I need to ask someone who knows all about the innards and workings of aftermarket pipes if fitting them is a bad idea. And if OK do I need a remap.

    Micron manufacturers just went down the toilet, so no help there. Internals of different pipes vary a lot. It seems to run OK, but I still want to check before leaving them in.

    Anyone know where to go in Perth? Did a quick search in this forum but came up with either 5,000 not on topic posts or none at all. Help much appreciated

    Hi Mate, I'm no expert but if the bike is not popping and farting that is a good start. Keep an eye on your exhaust colour, a very light colour means she is running lean and a wet or oily looking tailpipe means it's rich.
    One way to know is to put her on a dyno and they will be able to tell you what is going on, and that gives you peace of mind, but I would think it would not need a re-map for just changing out baffles.

      Well if you've had it mapped for the micron exhaust it shouldn't be lean and adding the baffles will decrease flow slightly and should therefor richen it up slightly and that won't cause any damage.

      But i'm no expert.

        That was my thinking, too, but I'd hate to fuckup. It theoretically should run a tad richer, and if too rich I guess the plugs will show it??? Have to be awfully rich to cause any serious problems. I assume.......
