regulator heat up

  • regulator heat up

    due to recent complication of fitting a battery to my new seat unit.. there has had
    to be a tight fit with the regulator and battery... with now cause them yo.. touch..
    now i relise that the regulator heats up a little..
    so is it ok for these two to be so close together.. will it melt the battery?

      wat a safe distance.. is there something i can put inbetween them to stop the melt?

          The regulator should be somewhere it can dissipate the heat (airflow or heat sink). How far was it originally?

            edit jokes aside, somewhere where it can have some air flow/air space is good. it'll melt plastics.

              Lol, the leaking battery acid will even pre-strip the wires for you for when it needs replacing too.
