    900ss White frame - Black Wheels and a red skirt! che bella!

    Well my bro picks this up tomorrow, to say I’m a little jealous is an understatement!







    From the pics it looks well kept with 100k on the clock an a rebuild at 66K it has 944 pistons in it done by Vee Two many years ago,

    I have read there are only 10 of these units brought into Australia so this is a rare unit? I know @Jaffa Imported his one in from Japan?

    I will be detailing it in a few weeks time and my Bro want to do a few mods like the super light rear and high rise mufflers….

    what year cuz?

    think white frame was 91 or 92 from memory

    dunno bout 10 units brought in, i may be wrong. but i'd bet there would be that sort of number left ?

    all the rest crashed burnt and written off

        '92 looks to be the first of the black wheels and 10 came in to Aust that year...

        Yeah...I think you are right...

        Of that colour scheme it's a '92 and only 10 of them ever came over...

        '91 had white wheels...

        '93 had bronze frame...

        So yeah it's rare, but it's only the colour scheme that makes it rare...

            I miss my old 93 bronze frame sometimes, but it was painfully slow against the jappers on the open country roads. Handled beautifully though, I could make up most of what they made down the straights on corner entries!!

            There was a big change at Ducati in that time period right?? Something to do with Cagiva???

              Something about a bike called the 916, Texas holdings group took over sometime in the mid 90's

                Nice! I had one of those. Personally, I wouldn't go sticking any superlight stuff on it, if the aim is to look like a Superlight, as the 1992 Superlight was a bit more different to the 900SS than it was in later years. If I wanted to go faster I would stick some lighter wheels and disks on one though - some BST's. Spaghetti system too. But these bikes are for everything but getting from point A to point Z as fast as you can

                    Bit of a makeover but still trying to keep the classic aged looked, in the end it looked like a bike that should be in a museum aging gracefully,
                    I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed ridding it and cleaning it, such a joy! But the ridding was out of this world, so much torque and it was like being in a lounge chair but not laid back, just Perfecto!!

                      Saw this on Gumtree last night. Thought to myself 'that's a nice looking 900 but an awful lot of k's for money' and went on my way. Really need to do some homework on these old beauties.
                      Sventek, being a predominantly lazy fuck can you please purchase some for me, bring me the stuff, create something I want after you think of it for me then clean my house, wash my car, dog, bike breathe for me.

                          I had a 1972 BSA Victor Gold Star Road Trail It was a money making botch up by a company in its death throes. Ugly as fuck and even BSA lovers reckoned they were shit. So I sold it and bought a computer.

                          Learn from my misery, it was just like this one.
