996SPS Production Numbers

I thought it rude not to share this info I gleaned from Ducati Information Services.
Interestingly many people have told me the SPS was not imported by Ducati to the U.S. because it did not meet their emission laws. Many in the U.S. believe all SPS there are individual imports. Aparently not so?

Ironically I was actually chasing the actual limited edition numbers found on the tripleclamps for each country, but interesting none the less.

#848 of 972 (of the 39 imported--it's a 2000) according to above...

I've noted many people falsely advertising 996 models as "SPS" over the years - For Example

2000 DUCATI 996 SPS - BikePoint

I guess ya just have to have half a schmick.
