That happened to me on the Little Caesars ride on Sunday. Incline into a left hander. It didn't die completely but I had no drive. Knocked it back down into first and took off again. I'm riding a VTR250. First time it ever happened. Will have to check it out

How would i go about checking this?

The revs might be an issue i guess i heard you have to keep revs high with the across.

Try posting in the mods section dude.
you'd prolly target a better audience rather than us noobish 250 riders lol

Not sure if it helps, but i had a revving problem with my Across when i first got her, turned out it was the Carby Slide Holders. Cost me $8 to replace myself and havent had a problem with the Across since. There's a website which shows you show to fix it step by step, i'll put the link up tomorrow at home (havent got the website saved at work)

When normal riding, she'd rev around 6000-7500. the across doesnt redline till 13000 (from memory)

                      Mine ('98) redlines at 16500rpm.

I have had small problems with stalling like this, increasing the idle revs has helped somewhat.. Might look at the above solutions too some time.

There's no power below about 6500-7000 rpm, and then a bit more kicks in at 13000.
                      Highway revs are about 9000-11000rpm.

I found this site really useful for fixing minor things with the Across -
