Because buying 2-stroke dream machines off website specifications provided on the internet always ends well...
    Click Link for My Bikes:

    Aprilia RS250
    1985 GSXR750 "Slabbie"

They would be awesome to ride although they may be lacking reliability from what I have heard...

      Maico also make a 700cc 2 banger.

IMO I would rather either of these:
Honda 500AF Motocross Bike, Honda 500 Dirt Bike, Competitive Dirt Bike, Racing Bike
Kawasaki KX500AF Bike, Kawasaki Racing Bike, 500 CC Motorcycle, Off-Road Bike

I've got a 1991 KTM540ex/c two stroke sitting in storage. Will keep it forever.

Why? It's got an ADR compliance plate. Which means that it can be road licenced.

Rode around town for two days when I bought it back in 2000. Most amusing on the freeway, playing with the acceleration from 80 to 140.

Left-side kickstart is a bitch. You need to be very tall and heavy to start it.

Meanwhile, Maico have been making a 700cc two stroke for some years now. Not street legal though.

One owner. Only driven gently on Sundays. Sold to best offer. First to see will buy. Reward offered for safe return. Coming soon to a cinema near you. Available for a limited time only.

My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.

Nice! I would love a CR500E (also road legal) however they command a high price and are rarely for sale - typically looking at $8k+ :o

maico talk of BIG hp numbers for their bike... which had a factory licenced 'tard planned.

that was on the old website, which has at some stage in the last year or two been listed as 'new website under development'

The greatest excitement comes from besting who you were yesterday.

the maico saga has a very familiar ring about it,

Pretty sure there is a cr 500 for sale at Moto Max for 6 ish, at least there was a couple weeks ago, I distinctly remember having a quick chat with Rick saying," I cant believe how cheap it was', and, "I wish I was tall enough to ride one".

But is it the 'E' Model with full rego? They are the rare and expensive ones.
