I told the missus I wanted one of these:

Pretty hopeful at this stage. Apparently if I sleep on the couch it helps...

Failing that - I like this one:

What's so special about these to command such a price?
It didn't look that far on the map...

            Honda's satellite GP bike.
            Only 22 ever made.
The V4s were leased, but these ones (v2 engines) were sold to the teams.
Its the equivalent of the "production racer" Honda will have on the grid next year.

And just on that bike... corner speed they were better than the full fat NSR. Just lacked power, which made getting passed by other riders easy (nailed in a straight line), and getting past other riders difficult.
“Crashing is shit for you, shit for the bike, shit for the mechanics and shit for the set-up,” Checa told me a while back. “It’s a signal that you are heading in the wrong direction. You want to win but crashing is the opposite. It’s like being in France when you want to go to England and when you crash you go to Spain. That way you’ll never get to England!” -- Carlos Checa

Didn't see it but Pete's a neighbour, I'll guarantee it will be in his shed before Santa leaves the North Pole.

The RG was auctioned about 18 months ago had a $28k price tag , would be highly suspicious of that seller

That's Evil Dwarf's RG500 - the bike is legit and so is he (in fact he's a great bloke). If you happen to be in the market for a brand new RG500 and you don't mind coughing up the big bucks then this is the bike for you.

Please no one chime in about the seals needing replacing in the motor etc. as no one in their right mind would buy this to start / ride it (which is of course in itself a tragedy).

Not that silly really given the vast amounts of "new" 28 year old RG500`s about the world arena. I`m with Rich... anyone else got one ? And please don`t anyone mention that pile of DS that Suzuki Melbourne displayed at the Moto as it is so wrong in so many ways - not even close. I if you want the real deal then I can vouch for it and its owner and it really is the last of the Mohicans.
