  • Ebay TZR

Just been pointed at a TZR250 as a possible project
My only experience with 2T road bikes was with RZ250 and 350s years ago.

The TZR250 for sale is a 1KT version (as far as i can work out) How does this version fit in to the big picture?
Is it a desirable model of TZR ?

Seem to be a few parts available on Ebay.
Waiting on some more info from the seller.
    Hate 24 hour decisions
Being an Australian is not an excuse for being dumb and racist.

      Not collectable??
      sorry, disagree.
A very desirable road race replica stock (50HP @10K RPM! stock standard!) and as close as you will get to the twin cilinder TZ racer TZ S-T.
After that they went for the rear exhaust, 3ME, (Disaster)and then the Vtwin. 3XV,(very nice but,.. not cheap and parts are scarse, Kneedown has one and is very happy with it it is the closest one, SP, but you need a mint one to start off with
Parts are aplenty because they made loads of them (They were popular!) in production (engine) 1986-1991!
I have just got one and enjoy riding it very much esp in the Burbs.

      Here it is.
The restauration of one of these is not a major $$ outlay, it can easily be used as transport and as a bit of a scratcher/boy racer, goes like stink when wound up and,... makes the right sounds and smells.

Here is a TZ-S production road racer for sale at $10.000 Euro's

Some of the rear door hydraulic rams are just as good and do the same function at a fraction.

The forks feel really notchy a bit more than new seals there. And the subframe has split along a few of bars. Just sorta feels a bit off too

usually when it sounds too good to be true....
