Transferring car ownership

Just wondering the wife wants a new territory and I get to keep the XFT modded petrol variant. Now we want to change the ownership to me can I do this without having to pay transfer fees as she's not selling it to me n it's my wife....

Short answer: no.

There are two boxes on the form, one for the sale price, and one for the "dutiable value" of the vehicle, which is what the transfer fee is based on. You can lowball the value a bit, but you'll still pay the fees.

Question: if it's your wife, why bother transferring it?

Hmmm that's good that they changed it, we looked into it back in ~09 and you couldn't swap without paying as we wanted to do the same, we bought the missus a Turbo Terra and I took her Falcon
