  • Parkour, locations and participants/enthusiasts in Perth.

So im running alot at the moment trying to stave of turning 40 and to be effective in the new career, I find Parkour interesting, totes amaze even! , its like low level flight and just so damm cool.
is anyone on here doing it?
Are there known recognizable spots popular in Perth?
As in this one in such and such is beginners level, then try here to step up?.
Yes, I have watched Casino Royale recently(several times).
    so, Parkour people?
Ask not what your country can for do you,
But what is your country going to do to you next?

Not into it, I find Downhill & Trials bone breaking enough! Curtin has some good spots, I've seen guys doing stuff around campus.
The correct number of bikes to own = N + 1, where N is the current number of bikes you own.

Cheers guys, but im not allowed on campus, there was some unpleasantness, I can never return!
UWA looks good, or it did when I went to toga parties, is it trespassing if not a student?
I was also thinking the city with those carparks etc, I live ruralish and jumping fences round here can attract lead, really fast and ouchy.
Cott civic centre had lots of low walls and grass, is it still the same?

I did a few sessions of something similar in Sydney. Good fun but I was properly sore the couple of days after.

Yeh there are some punks doing it down near the amphitheatre most nights.

I am usually about walking the dog or slacklining.

                          Wassup!?

I was doing Parkour when I was in Perth and one of the original tracures to setup the classes which are in operation today.

The parkour forums online are not used much these days so your better off checking out these two groups of face book. The first in the Perth Parkour page and lists all classes and other random bits. The second in the gathering and jams page for people wanting to meet up and train. The third link is a google maps link to most of the main training areas we use on a semi-regular basis.

                          https://www.facebook.com/groups/PerthParkour/
                          https://www.facebook.com/groups/2943...17301/?fref=ts
                          https://maps.google.com.au/maps/ms?m...2069dd3c&msa=0

If your just starting out in Parkour start with the basics and get your strength and conditioning going first, lots of plyometric exersize and upper body strength training is most important.

                          Good luck!

Well had a crack around here, gravel is hard to land on!
                              im a lanky git
my heart rate monitor alarm went off at 200bpm, you know, when you can taste copper!
I am at what I feel would be 20% ready to freerun more than half a k even with basic hurdles, my fitness is holding for a jog but putting the jumps and the jarring on 39 yr knees with the added effort of using my arms has showed me im along way from being a Parkour practioner.
Thanks a lot guys that's a great response with brilliant answers, OptiC if that's you in the pic, join a casting agents dude and tell them what you can do!
