Just the same, I believe in his right to speak about whatever and for those to listen if they choose.

            .
So rather than debate what he says..you simply want to judge him by what "group" he belongs to? Funnily, Jordan hates group identity.

Anyone who is that concerned about the dangers of "feminism", "new socialism", "PC brigade" et al needs to get a life or a job or both and get on with it.

he actually detests people using his speeches and labeling them with "destroys...." Thats just click bait.

Maybe I'm hearing something different but most of what he says is tips on how to live your life. On feminism and PC he is merely debating the topic.

Something the feminists and PC brigade don't want to engage in. He is alos against the far left from "teaching" their BS at Universities.. Do you support that?do you think grown ups need "safe spaces" ?

You talk about getting a job etc....Jo Biden has a job and look at the 5hit he is in over what??? STF.

At what point would you take the far left, the "feminists" etc seriously?

When someone accepts money from and appears for bizzaro, fundamentalist religious, bogus organisations with a history of promulgating partisan political propaganda? Funnily, yes

He sells a particular kind of snake oil. His "self-help" book is just a plagiarized collection of existing self-help mantras dressed up with some pseudo-philosophy. I have watched plenty of his debates, and a few of his talks as well and for much of it he is diving into philosophical name-drops and using language to make what he is saying seem much more sophisticated than it actually is, which impresses his sycophants and clearly is mean't to make them also feel "clever" (which then back-fires when they trot out his talking points almost verbatim during a discussion). He uses the same technique when he dresses-down a dissenting comment or question with blatant "gotcha" tactics and straw-man arguments (something that should be beneath him for his supposed level of debating skill and experience). He then uses the same pseudo-philosophical arguments to support his overt political views while at the same time seeming to confuse postmodernism with Marxism, which is... weird?

By all means, people can find value in some of what he says, but I wouldn't trust it personally as a whole guide to living - it seems a critique of things in the modern day that he doesn't like personally (like student activism or feminism for example, or not being able to hit women - yes, he said that)

However; there are a few crucial differences.

I am not a self-appointed "expert" on human behaviour selling books and charging large fees for speaking engagements, I am just some mug on an internet forum who was asked to clarify an opinion - which I did.

Pushing the buttons eh Skut yeah, it's cheap.

The Jordon Peterson guy... His handle is that slight emphysemic annunciation that adds a bit of, well, authenticity to his statements. That try as I may, The result is sliding in and out of attention. Homer Simpson chasing thought squirrels.

I guess some of his stuff is pretty straightforward when he's talking about rational questions. Drift off into 'metaphysical' and glaze over the best response.

Please define "far left" and their "BS" for clarity. I believe to achieve balance all views need to be put out there. Universities have traditionally been a hot bed of alternative views and exploring different ideas. I notice the latest generation are more conservative in a lot of ways than the previous few.

do you think grown ups need "safe spaces" ? I have no idea what that means. Places of worship and learning should be safe?

You talk about getting a job etc....Jo Biden has a job and look at the 5hit he is in over what??? STF. I assume he is a seppo pollie? I have little interest in US politics except when they impact on us.

At what point would you take the far left, the "feminists" etc seriously? The same point I take the far right seriously.
I think the pendulum swings too far in either direction from time to time and due to the stupidity of those at either end of it we never really get to a good place. We are too far to the right at the moment in my opinion, hence the "noise" from the left being over reported in the media and the resultant hand wringing from the right.

please tell me you aren't just blindly regurgitating usa stuff and using it for an argument in AUSTRALIA? Or doesn't it matter anymore?
