BFWTK: My Chemical Romance @ metal festivals

They're coming out again for a festival, with a heap of other metal bands. They don't really fit into this category, and the fans don't really overlap at all.

Most concert footage I've seen of them has involved people throwing stuff at them.

So...why do they keep doing it?

Because they are awesomely Emo and Emo = hardcore and metal= hardcore so by the process of stupidity Emo=metal.

What they dont realise is there is a difference between how metal fans like stuff heavy and bands who just whinge in a heavy way.

We dont like whingers. ( unless we are whinging about how no one cares about metal anymore)

HA for a 2nd there I thought you said brawling and I laughed at the thought of those noodle armed skinny kids brawling with anyone.

But you are right I was talking more of what their opinions of themselves was, not the actual reality of what they are.

I actually have a spot spot for them, until I see what they look like.

They do good theatre, the melodrama is fun (if you don't take it seriously). I just can't see them fitting in with metal fans, who I believe take things far too seriously.

Metal bands dont take it seriously they just dont like retards claiming they are awesome musicians.

They also sully the name of metal by bringing it down to a level of commercialism and fashion.


Sort of like if trendy Vespa riders started talking to you about riding a 600 or thou.

It's interesting isn't it? Cliched black clothing, a dark fascination with death/decay/satan etc etc and unintelligible cookie monster voices are ok, yet some kids singing about their feelings aren't.

Looking as an outsider, it's a classic case of one minority trashing another while pleading to be taken seriously

Yes but as an outsider you are also pigeon holing the genre into a few traits.

The biggest metal bands have almost always sung about Politics and societies issues rather than just death.

Alot of those death horror cookie monster bands are just as false as the Emo kids and I personally see them more as a commercial band than serious artists.

Emo bands at a Metal concert are meerly to get pathetic whiney wrist slitting fucktards to attend said concerts so the bogans have life like rag dolls to throw about and wreck during the duller moments of the day.

I support this movement wholey and completley.
