  • Attachment file types?

    I tried to attach a google earth place marker/link thingy and it was rejected as a wrong file type. Can I suggest that this file type is added to the allowable attachment type list?

        The .KMZ file is a standard .ZIP file that can be opened with any unzipping utility.

          I guess I am more concerned about security of someone downloading from the forum thinking it is a google earth file but it is actually a virus zipped.

          Is this a correct assumption? or is a KMZ only google earth and cant be spoofed to be some other executable?

            I looked on filext.com and it's only associated with google earth. It is a compressed file and is associated with google earth only on my computer. Inside, it contains xml such as:

            <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
            <kml xmlns="http://earth.google.com/kml/2.0">

                Ya should be right dude

                The KMZ file extension is an adaptation of the Keyhole software That runs the Google Earth program
                you will have no probs with it dude.
