  • How to keep fit whilst in recovery ?

    i had a collar bone plated 2 weeks ago and have been told not to go back to the gym for 3 months. is there anythig i could do to build fitness durring this time ? treadmill , cross trainer etc ? don't want to end up looking like a bucket of lard ...

    I would say exercise bike will stop any impact gettign sent through the collarbone, Not sure if running would do the injury any good - cross trainer maybe once the bone has healed somewhat.

      Recovery needs rest.. You will get your fitness level back quick enough when you have healed, but your body needs to pour all it's strength into mending that bone..if you train too much now, recovery will take longer..Take it easy, relax, eat well, you won't put weight on...
