  • Stopping smoking

    Any success stories people?
Been puffing away for 40 odd years, time to stop but zero willpower, no major health issues as yet but I know I'm pushing my luck. Biggest problem is I enjoy it!

It's not going to work. Wait until you're ready.

The book written by Allan Carr is pretty good and may help.

When my kids were about five I decided I wanted to see them grow up and never smoked again.

agree with Sventek. if you sat in my office and said what you said above, i'd say go away and come back when you want to quit. there a saying in AOD; "change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change"
at the moment, you're pain free!

I wouldn't say willpower, I would say resolve.

I can recommend someone that you can talk to about your trauma.

Nope, just leading up to the punchline 'Physician heal thyself'
