    iPhone Hotspot help needed

    Hello, first HWW post from me. Google failed me, as did PSB search.

    If I turn on my iPhone Hotspot will my mate be able to tap into my connection and therefore upgrade his iPhone to iOS7?
    Will it suck the bejeesus out of my data download limit and cost me a small fortune?

    Yes but it will cost you data. The other option is to go to mcdonalds or something and use their free wifi.

    Edit, the 7.0.0 to 7.0.2 is 21mb, can't find info on what size the 6.x to 7 update is.

        My sis said 6 to 7 required over 2gb of free space on the phone, perhaps the install didn't actually need that much but I'd avoid it on a hotspot.

          Don't know much about iPhones etc but from experience with using the iPad at Maccas their internet access is shit and unreliable for just basic surfing let alone trying to download an important update
