• Calling employment lawyers or such people...

Hi All,
I am hoping someone within the halls of PSB specialise in employment issues and can answer some questions surrounding changing peoples contracts from an employee point of view. I am not looking to avoid paying for such advice, but have no idea where to start and hope someone here can help.

Not too keen to put it all out online, but it would be concerning remuneration/incentives, so please PM me for details.

Thanks

Al

Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

Pretty vague dude.

Perhaps post a general outline of what the issue is, then people can speculate and feed you bullshit responses like what normally happens on here when people feel like discussing 'lawyer stuff'.

Otherwise you're just going to be shooting PMs to people who think they may know 'something about employment law', only to either get an inaccurate unusable reply, or no one is going to respond at all

Dubs and Sarbear generally have all the good answers when it comes to employment contracts and stuff, if they don't have your answers they might know where to find someone anyway...
Do you remember the good old days before the internet?

when arguments were only entered into by the physically or intellectually able.

Tried them but my employer doesn't have a collective agreement covering the sales "people" and how remuneration works. I think that's how it went, hence the search now.

Ok, in a nutshell... signed a contract that was a base and commission component with a graduated line with the more sold above a certain mark to encourage growth. Year 2 (last year) all thought it was on the same graduated line, until the last payment in June, when payment figure didnt match and was told a different line was introduced - without consultation or notification. This year, they want to change completely and base on a made up figure that ensures sales people only make the base rate.
I need to know if I can get the money that was "engineered" away last year and can make them stick to the contract this year and subsequent years, or I just quit. I don't want to do the later as I love my job and like the people I work and deal with and think I am pretty good at my job too!
