another option you can look at is the PS online membership thingy where you get a few older games every month you can download from the store for free... annual fee is < $70 if I remember correctly, and after a few games it would pay itself off... good thing is you also can let it download during off time in the back ground...

So far I only need to be careful not to buy NTSC-J games which are mostly Japanese language games anyway... otherwise, had no issues so far... for example, GTA V was listed as a PS3 NTSC version, but works well with my PS3 (tested on the FAT and Slim version)
Play-Asia had a list of region restricted games but it related more to Xbox360...

Are you still down in Perth Desmo or back up North?
Iv got a couple of games that I was going to 'pay forward', with the intention of them going to someone with some kids that might have some fun with them. An NBA game, a Formula 1 game, Ridge Racer (and probably a couple of others...). Ideally, a motorsport enthused father could have some fun teaching his children about racing, while having some fun.
If not, PM me your postage details and I will send them up!
Edit: Doubt you could wrap them as gifts, but the kids can still enjoy them nevertheless.
Video ezy are cheap but atrocious with delivery times, often games sit as "waiting for stock" only for them to be cancelled and refunded 2 weeks later. Be very careful with video game ezy, you won't get ripped but I wouldn't expect them before Christmas
OGS will never get here before Christmas.
I buy from there regularly, no way I'd rely on having them deliver to a date unless that date is more than 6 weeks away.
Likewise for Video Ezy; I wouldn't want to rely on getting them on time.
Just beware of buying games from ozgameshop etc, being overseas versions trying to play them online can be an issue iirc....
OGS is UK based, so there shouldn't be any issues as we are lumped in with the European PSN for everything.
Places like Play-Asia you've got to be careful you aren't buying a game from the US if you want to play online.
For price and time constraints, I'd be looking at Big W/JB/Target as suggested.
