    Is that including call costs?

Optus is offering (and I accepted) $69/month 20Mbps(!) broadband, home phone (incl. line rental and unlimited calls) on 24 month contract.

12GB is your usage, 20MBps is Spock's speed.
        Your speed is 1.5MBps.

Telstra do have new offers only available if they call you to win back your services. Bigpond/Homeline bundled deals like Optus have started offering that aren't available to normal customers.
However, one thing to keep in mind is that Telstra (and Optus for that matter) include uploads in their usage quota. So if you torrent stuff or otherwise upload a lot, you may be in for a shock.

But that is a better deal than most can get as a 'normal' bigpond customer so if it suits you... Go for it.

EDIT: And in case you were wondering, I am 90% sure you would be on this Homeline plan Homeline Reach
Thats not how much you are paying obviously, but thats what you would be getting. Usual disclaimers apply, IANAL/I don't work for Telstra Call Centres/I cannot guarantee the accuracy of this information etc. But I do work for a Telstra Dealer so am almost certain thats what you are on.

          15cents untimed STD calls

Can't beat that unless you decide you want more than just Sports - do Telstra make you take the basic package or can you have -just- Sports?

Let me know if you need any help closing down your iiservice

Go ahead and play the blues if it'll make you happy.

bugga being normal:p looks like it doesnt pay.......
more of a downloader than uploader here.
i download short clips of about 3-7mb ,no, not porn, usually utube stuff that gets posted on psb and a few other sites and iinets speed gets me watching in about 30 sec's.
i hope 1.5bps is much the same !
if it isnt i'll console myself with fox sports motogp and rugby union anyway.

And don't forget that any file you want to download, be it Firefox or Ubuntu 7.10, try get it from Bigpond's servers first as anything on the BP site doesn't count towards your quota.

Telstra traditionally have really, really bad products for extreme prices. So yeah, just be careful, cuz i know they've tried to screw around my gf a few times. ( thank god i was there to stop her)

I'll go out of my way to avoid giving Telstra a single cent these days. The deals look good on the surface, but they'll find ways to fuck people.

Depends which plan you are on. We are with Optus 7 + 14 GB (Peak + Off-peak) and uploads are not included. Thankfully the person told us when we were going to change to a different plan where uploads are included in your quota.
