            Can I borrow this to take pictures of my front and rear tyre after every session on the track? would be good for data analysis of the effect of tyre pressure, track temp, ambient temp..... etc.

                              Different materials, different emissivity. So they can be the same temperature, but the cameras will not "see" it. You need to apply a correction factor to the temp as the camera assumes ε=1
