  • Rancilio Silvia Espresso Machine - Anywhere local?

Any of you coffee geeks know where I can buy one of these babies new locally? I need a coffee machine for my new office!

I can buy easily off the imported on either direct or off eBay, but prefer to test & taste it locally first if possible.

    Hey Nathan

I know this isnt the info you were after mate, but I got my machine from Coffee For Connoisseurs (which is based in Melbourne) Coffee for Connoisseurs Coffee Beans Coffee Brewing Coffee Machines Espresso Coffee

He has some good reviews and info, despite the average way the website looks

This is his page for the machines he sells: Coffee for Connoisseurs Espresso Equipment

If nothing else, it gives you an idea of prices.

    Jon

I'd kill for a massage right about now.

oh...just called and nobody there is qualified. What sort of massage place are they then? (he asks all innocently)

this is proof of how crap that Supreme Coffee Machines place is:

                  Title
                  La Cimbali Domus
                  Description
La Cimbali domestic classic. Like all La Cimbali machines the Domus is extremely well designed and built and makes superb coffee.

                  RRP
                  $799.00
                  Our Price
                  $849.00
                  spot the deliberate rip-off....

They (Supreme) are still listed as an Oz distributor of the La Pavoni lever machines but won't service them any more. Hmmm, way to support your product. I've been singularly unimpressed by the presales support and the service dramas I've had with these guys, sure they may have another angle to the story but I honestly couldn't recommend them.
