    Paging Mekon.

There's a good video store for asian film rentals near Burswood, the name escapes me for the moment but I shall look it up if somebody else doesn't post it before I return.

I'm a big fan of J Horror. The original Ring series is awesome.

For action early John Woo can't be beat. The Killer is a classic. The fight choreography is like ballet with bullets. Great stuff. Also early Jackie Chan stuff if you're into something a bit more light hearted. The Police Story movies are a good place to start.

If you're interested in some of the older stuff which has influenced a whole generation of film makers then grab a few Kurosawa films. Seven Samurai is probably the most well known.

There are some great suspense/thriller anime out there too. Perfect Blue is one of my favorites.

As for acquiring these flicks, I'm sure you can get creative if your local vid store doesn't have them.

          Happy viewing.

Can't go wrong with "Once Upon a Time in China" for older martial art movies.

Oldboy is good. Casshern is a sci-fi koreanfest, um... Lust:Caution is a spy/sex drama, yeah as said, anything Akira Kurosawa is pretty orsm.

Red Cliff is a pretty newish Chinese war epic. It's decent.

Machine Girl is trashy and hirarious.

              Hmm, what else....

OH BTW, isn't there a hong kong video just a couple of doors down from the main intersection in Mt. Lawley?

Tokyo Gore Police is funny as hell! If your bored of English movies check out some Jean-Pierre Jeunet Directed/Produced movies. French Guy and his movies are unconventionally amazing

Audition is awsome. Don't look up anything about the story, just rent the thing and have your mind blown.
