  • Hernia

    Hello,

Was working on my ninja and bet over to pick up the back tyre and noticed this lump above my belly button. Turns out it is a hernia.

    Anyone here have one?

Doing some googling about how to fix it. Anyone know how much surgery costs these days without health insurance?

    Cheers

Go see your GP, they will be able to answer the questions better than we can.

not sure about costs..but if by any chance you're going on a holiday to canada, visit shouldice hospital..read many good things about the place..they're supposedly reasonable priced and are as good as it gets..some form of patented surgery technique haha

Most of the threads on here are about iginual hernia's, guess you'll have to do the GP, referred to a surgeon and wait in line for Public.

Best not to leave them too long as bits of your stomach can get trapped and cause worse problems!!

I remember my older bro having a hernia op on his abs, I was too young to gather the cost, but I remember he was in hospital for one night and didn't take longer than a month or so to fully recover.

Only advice I have is: You ride motorbikes, yet you don't have health insurance?
                        -Get health insurance.
-Then get diagnosed with a hernia...

It's like any other insurance, a complete waste of money, until you actually need it.
