good actor fortunate enough to get good roles ... I found the combination very enjoyable

... just think that, were the movie Chew's clip came fom made today, they'd probably have tom cruise playing the lead *shudder* -

personally, am still recovering from what the movie moguls did to Reacher *shudder*

          Great actor, massive alcoholic...RIP

And they butchered Reacher and casting Cruise as Reacher was the biggest f**k up ever...

Ah fuck. I had the pleasure of frequenting the same pub as him in London and shared a few ales with him on more than one occasion.
Genuinely nice guy even if I only ever saw him pissed.

I heard on abc radio that said he, Oliver Rees and Richard burton were the original hell raisers from the 60s that they drinking is as legendary as their acting. More like a second job for them

he was in the few early movies I watched when I was introduced to "classic" English movies as a kid.

edit: engrish is still hard to grasp some time

                    RIP.

Saw him on stage a few times - was fantastic in 'Jeffery Barnard is Unwell'. I suspect some method acting may have gone into his role!

I mean there are fewer and fewer actors of his calibre...unfortunate pun unintended.
