As 2IC to the Financial Controller, you will play an integral role in providing ongoing guidance and operational support to a small accounts team.

Your principle accountabilities will be to review and audit the day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions, including cash flow management. Additionally you will be responsible for reconciliation of trial balance and general ledger accounts, provide payroll support and other ad-hoc projects as required.

Our ideal candidate will possess:
  • Demonstrated technical accounting knowledge, including interpretation of legislation (eg. GST, payroll and awards) ;
  • Solid conceptual and problem-solving techniques
  • Int/Adv Excel;
  • Ability to run and alter queries in MS Access;
  • Previous experience in a mid-sized accounting system (we use Epicor);
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including a track record of supervision/coaching or mentoring;
  • Min. 4 years experience in an AP, AR, GL and Payroll environment;
  • Degree qualification in Commerce or Business (Accounting) or similar.
