  • Passed my R Class

I passed my R Class this morning (in the rain...as always with me and bike tests).

Just wanted to say thanks to Tai and Anthony from Elite Motorcycle Training for their assistance.

...and now to look for a big bike...

Congrats i have mine in a 1 & 1/2 weeks. seeing as you probably sat your R-E around the same time as me, is it much the same? care to give me a quick run down of what to expect, I believe fig 8's are a thing of the past?

Grats on the big bike Chigga.

                ------------------------------------

I found the R to be heaps easier and quicker , rode out, did the stop, did couple of 8's rode back , 5 min test , was rainin a bit, testor told me he just wanted to get back and have a coffee.

But yeah think they figure you know how to ride and just make sure of that, no need to go thru as much as the first time.

And apparently 8's are now U turns or something
Now my guns are blazin' Bloodclot i can see 360

                    Thats right, no figure 8's.
Now you do consecutive U-turns (so almost "O" turns).

The 2 major areas are emergency stops and O-turns.
The rest of the test is general riding and knowledge/application of the road rules.

I did mine in Morley where apparently they are not very easy to please.
When we started out the tester told me where to go and where to park up - then he went ahead of me by 30 metres and waved me down to him. This was a test in making sure I indicated and looked before me before going to him.
So what i'm saying is watch out for "tricks" and make sure you're on the ball - everytime you pull out or pull in, indicate. Make sure you show you're watching sidestreets.

if you're unsure of anything get a lesson from an instructor - it would be well worth the money.

                    Good luck.

                    Chris
