from what i've read online: apparently she was worried that no one would come to her party, hence why she invited her whole year group and asked them to invite others. she took the invite off when it reached 20,000, but not before everyone knew about it and some hacker got hold of it and kept it up...

Its a good warning for parents to keep their kids off facebook.
