  • suggest me a good lawyer pls

    Hi all,

I'm chasing a lawyer to speak to about an incident that I've walked away from with permanent physical damage. It wasn't a traffic incident (so traffic specific lawyers may not apply).

Can anyone suggest me someone good to speak to? I understand it's not cheap to go through this sort of thing, but someone that will provide an initial consult with a reasonable fee would be much appreciated. It may so be that it's just not worth pursuing, and I'd like to not be too far out of pocket to get that answer.

I've had a quick google and the way they bill seem to vary quite a bit, and also gives no indication if they're any good or not. Personal experience preferred.

    Cheers.

Hey Lee, I spoke to Jeremy Noble over a issue, he had a flat rate at the time for initial consult that was money well spent (think $2-300 iirc). Good on ya for chasing it up. Cant say whether a personal injury lawyer or some type of malpractice claim would be a better way to go?
Wishing you all the best with it

Can you pm me some details and i can run it by my father in law if you want.

He may not be the best to speak to, but as a lawyer may know the best road to take.

Lee, are we talking about a public liability lawyer? Or workers compensation?

Take them to the cleaners, bro.

Used Andrew Maughan [ www. maughanlaw .com. au} a while back.

                  Very easy to deal with.

Can be handy to have a father who is in law.

nah, no "llb" after my name. Lee, contact the Law Society of WA The Law Society of Western Australia - They will put you in contact with a lawyer who specialises in the field which you seek advice. Some lawyers will do first consult for free, if not, you simply pay for their time in accordance with the relevant scale (which should be explained to you before you meet).

Mechanics may all know how an engine works but you wouldn't send a Haulpac to Dynotune to get a service. Better to get advice from a lawyer who specialises in the area you need.

Much wow, thread revival and so on....

Anyone used a lawyer recently for a compensation claim relating to injury?

I will not divulge the story on here because this is a public forum, but I sustained serious injuries recently and, pending an investigation, will then be approaching a suitable lawyer to try and get reimbursed for some very large expenses I have incurred (plastic surgery and dental work).

Specifically require a lawyer who has experience in cases against police misconduct if possible. My understanding is it will be boeman vs the state of WA?

Juicy Friday thread, coming at you.

I would start with the Law Society as they do have a shopfront lawyer for cheap advice and can point you towards the lawyer who specialises in the area you need.
