  • The Nostalgia Thread

Hey peoples, I've trudged through the search function and was unable to locate anything similar (except barfies thread on the commodore 64), and thought it might be nice to show us what are the things that showcase your childhood. Could be anything from toys, music, cars, clothes etc. (I notice that old frt started something similar in the for sale thread with his morris minor ), Oh and yes, we will know what generation you're from.
Here's a few from me with more to come.

I always knew they were bigger when I was five years of age, or was it that my hands were smaller?

lol... I remember when to copy a game, all you need is a twin tape player and game and watche games only had single screen... when donkey kong came out on duo screen, it was awesome

but one thing I remember when I first came to Australia for a holiday was seeing a water pressured toy car, and all you need to do is to pump it up, and it would ride off at great speed.... that was probably around 30 odd years ago... really wanted one, but my mom didnt let me get one.... never really seen one like that ever since...

I got a secondhand 100 as my first bike, age 11.

You want to win but crashing is the opposite. It’s like being in France when you want to go to England and when you crash you go to Spain. That way you’ll never get to England!” -- Carlos Checa

Now I have a job again I can't wait to start collecting toys again. I might bump my thread and start the search again.
