    Petraeus: I really screwed up

For those of you that haven't seen any news lately, David Petraeus was the CIA chief up until very recently. Turns out there is a massive scandal, he has a mistress, may or may not be sending classified information to her etc. etc. etc.

Is anyone else wondering what the hell is going on? How does a guy who is presumably smart enough to be the head of the CIA screw up so badly and act so stupidly?

    *Tinfoil Hat on*

Surely there is something suspect here? Something going on behind the scenes that noone is talking about?

And now there are other high ranking officals involved. It just seems as though there is something fishy going on entirely.

Also got me thinking about other conspiracy theories.

Conspiracy theories: from politics to business

Any other good ones that do the rounds? That cancer one is interesting. Not that I'm believing everything I read but some are definately more plausible then others.

    Go here ----->

Perth Truth Seekers (Perth) - Meetup

This is where they all hang out, probably. ^^^^^

I don't know much about this 'scandal', but I do know that a dick can make men do strange &/or stupid things.

As for conspiracy theorists - every time, and I mean EVERY TIME I ask for certifiable verification of facts - I get nothing.

They'll rant, they'll rave, they'll say they have 'seen the proof' or 'go check here!' - and yet when you say "Send it too me, let me see this irrefutable proof you have of this amazing thing" - I get nothing.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but I am saying that those who believe the illuminati socialist death squads are about to kill us all - seem surprisingly hesitant to show anyone else the proof.

BTW - Heresay & Alex Jones reading an email is NOT proof.

I once heard a quote which seems to be wise words.

"Never be quick to attribute something to a conspiracy, that can be explained by incompetence."

Sounds like somthing a group caught with their hand in the cookie jar would say

“Crashing is shit for you, shit for the bike, shit for the mechanics and shit for the set-up,” Checa told me a while back. “It’s a signal that you are heading in the wrong direction. You want to win but crashing is the opposite. It’s like being in France when you want to go to England and when you crash you go to Spain. That way you’ll never get to England!” -- Carlos Checa

I know a proper conspiracy theorist (who's also a Scientologist). He's very intelligent and knowledgeable yet can't seem to apply real world logic to his thinking. Conspiracy theorists want there to be some dark truth to things ie 9/11, so they'll obsess over one random somewhat unexplainable occurence whilst ignoring several others that prove otherwise.

It's made for some rather interesting (and occasionally heated) conversations between us.

Scientologist? I can accept others beliefs regardless of what they are but i draw the line at scientologist. I really struggle to understand what it is they believe and why.

On another note, I'm not saying that any of them are true, I definately find some more interesting then others though. I use conspiracy theories as a way to change up my thinking, challenge beliefs etc. That being said until I have tangible evidence that cannot be disproved, it will always be just a theory.

                              It's even documented:

Also, the US have a history of staging false flags. 9/11 being a false flag would be NOTHING NEW

They only get away with it because of the beat up by the media of anyone who wants to say otherwise.

For people who love to bleat about how fucked the government is, there are heaps of those same people out there who appear to be awfully trusting of their government (or friendly governments) to not carry this sort of shit out.
