  • 2007 M3

Its a long shot, has anyone seen any links to actual leaked photos or spy photos of the upcomming revamp of the iconic M3. There is talk that it will sport a lightwieght 425hp (315kw) 4.0L V8 and I would like to take a looksy,

A google search only shows spy photos which are the old modle disguised.

Technically brilliant the new BMW's may be, but they have all been hit a bit too hard with the ugly stick.

front bar with the grille looks a little holden-ish (particularly the black one), otherwise it would be a nice lookin car.

My wife wants the Audi wagon as our next car....wish she was as definite or pro-active about motorbike upgrades.

I have to say that ive allways been a Jap car fan ... ive found 90's models of German cars uninspiring, (and still do) overcomplicated and very expesive for what you get to do with it that ages really quickly. Cept for the Porsche , im talking about the Audi and Beemer here.

Now after the 2001 Nurburgring trip, i see things different from the current crop of German cars .... and they are porn. Having been in a couple nice models, and driven a few during my trip in Euro , i have to say that they are AWESOME cars .... they arent holding back and they are actually now the perf leaders especially when so many Jap supercars are being discontinued.

If i had to pick, i would probably go the RS4. My old man has a 99/00 A4 that i love to drive, i can only imagine what the RS4 is like - goodbye licence.

Either way , you cant go wrong.

Yeh, understand many of the views on the Audi, unfortunately, having driven one, Im not a fan. Something about the driving position and internal ergonomics that just doesn’t feel right.

The M3 has always been the one to beat on paper and reports and I think that the new model (same engine as the new V10 M5 minus a couple of pots) will be the trump card.

Recently a group of UK journos were asked if you had $100,000 (pound sterling equivalent) what new car would you buy.

The majority said they wouldn’t buy a new car, they would buy the newest second hand M3 they could get for the money.
