One man band is exactly what I'm looking for, that would be great thanks. It's 100km from Perth.

Half the time the consultants just take a few 'before' dB readings, use some existing published table for dB vs distance for certain activities (construction) and then pad a whole bunch of words and summaries around the actual data. Same goes for enviro, in this case it will probably just be for dust control.

Unless you're talking a big development, then they may want some detailed work done.
I will ask the council for examples, but they couldn't recommend someone to do it so I'm not sure how Willing they will be to give an example. Yeah that's what I figured, it's just got to look the part and reference the relevant standards.

What sort of development? 100km from cbd you have different regs, each council is unique, but gets trumped by epact regs...

Have spoken to my colleague, he said he's happy to give you advice (without even having a gander to submit a proposal - he's a nice guy and not going to do the hard sell) and has the name of a few one man bands. He's rides as well so more than happy to have a chat. Send me a PM with mobile number if interested and he'll give you a ring. Despite the earlier reference to us ripping you off, he's offering free advice - I'd be jumping on board with that.
