imagine if you could make something accelerate as fast as pollies agreeing to more entitlements?

wow what a concept. Quite unlike the improbabilty drive and perhaps better than the bad news drive, which was built on the understanding that nothing travels faster than bad news. never adopted though as wherever the scientists turned up the populace was never really happy to see them. -( Apologies to D Adams, murdered that quote i am quite sure...)
You can't *burrrp* can't just post, just post anything you feel like morty, you just *burrp* just end up *burrp* end up hurting people's feelings morty I mean how, how would you like it if I said things that offended you morty?

Yeah just reading up on it, you're right, but only for the 'high velocity' take offs where they'd burn too much fuel to return to base. Lunar missions, Mars etc would fall into this category.

For LEO I think they'd prefer to land back on land, just needed to prove they could do it safely. From Wiki:

SpaceX signed a five-year lease for the land at the former Launch Complex 13 on 10 February 2015, in order to use the area to land reusable launch vehicles

      Power to them either way.

I'm 40 now, hoping for a cheap space flight before I die!

With twice the velocity - I don't think they actually expected it to work out this time. Freakin' awesome
