Remember the handbrake... Airbus are considering outsourcing their Valet Parking
These are pics of what happens if you don't chock the main wheels when doing a high power engine run. This was a brand new aircraft (A340-600) for Etihad at the Airbus factory in Toulouse.... Ouch!!
However, FJ and Uncle Ho (MyFX) are 2 examples of people that dont fit this genre but fit into the forum well as well respected members.
:ofeck. imagine the phone call having to explain THAT to the boss.

15 November2007 - An A340-600 was damaged during ground engine testing at Airbus' facilities at Toulouse Blagnac International Airport. Six days prior to the airplane's planned delivery to Etihad Airways, the plane pushed itself up a sloped concrete wall, suffering severe fuselage damage. The cockpit section was severed and fell to the ground from a height of about 15m atop the wall. Five people on board were injured, three of them seriously.[16]. The aircraft was written off.[17]
I guess the repair bill on that thing wouldn't make you feel so bad about dropping your bike in comparison...
But that cockpit is just... Gone. I'm kind of surprised that no one was killed looking at that. At least whoever is at fault is still around to get yelled at.
