  • Pan's Labyrinth FTMFW!

Okay, first to admit I'm a bit behind when it comes to the latest fillums etc. But I've been meaning to watch this for a while and finally went and got it tonight.

Down side: well, it's not a kid's movie. Subtitled Spanish, some fairly nasty violent bastard snippets in there (mostly dealing with the background story of the end of WWII).

Up side: everything else. This movie rocks. FX were slick, storylines worked smoothly together, acting was good and some of the camera work was just amazing.

If you've not seen it, go and get it out.

I just liked plain old Labyrinth, you know, with David Bowie and the upside down staircases...

The knife scene where Mercedes and el capitan have a little chat.

The bottle+nose scene was the first bit of nastiness - I certainly didn't see that coming! :o

Kick arse movie. I was originally under the impression it was a kid's movie. How wrong was I... Up close and personal with some of the scenes.
