  • Book Exchange

Along the lines of the "Pay it forward" thread, how about we try a book exchange thread.
Someone posts a book, something they recommend, and we swap books
This is an exchange, so if it's an utter favourite, then don't post it up.

    Here's my starter.
Ridin' high, livin' free by Ralph Sonny Barger.
Bunch of motorcycle related stories told by the founder of the Hells Angels.

If you see a book you like, quote the title and author, then offer up a book of equal or greater value in return.

I usually like to hang onto books but I'll put these up for swap

The Bourne Identity - Robert Ludlum
The Bourne Supremacy - Robert Ludlum
The Bourne Ultimatem - Robert Ludlum
The Hunt For Red October - Tom Clancy
    Harry Potter 1, 2, 4, 6 & 7 - JK Rowling (I borrowed 3 & 5)
Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, this is the first four books in one novel - Douglas Adams
The Amazing SAS - Ian McPherson; This book is basically a doco on the SAS in recent times, has stories from guys about Afghanistan and stuff. Worth a read once but I doubt I would ever re-read.
    The Brethren - John Grisham

If Desmo doesn't want any of those for his book, I'll swap for whatever.

            People still read books?

Hahaha, yes Spock, they do. I didn't realise how massive my book collection had gotten until I had to move house. I've now got three bookshelves full and still need more room to put them all.

I like this idea... but would be more in for lending my books out rather than exchanging them...

I am another one that tends to get just a tad "attached" to my books!!
