  • Helicopter over Carine today

    Hope you all saw me waving to the other PSB'ers as i was flying around in the helicopter over Carine this afternoon.

    They make me do some terrible things at work

      Cause Carine is still burning in the sub-terrain. We used the FLIR (just like th e police have) to find the hot spots.

      Will be back in the air next week, just to make sure its out

        Bugger, was stuck at work - otherwise may have dragged out the camera 5 seconds too late. again.

              Yes, its in the peat but fortunately isnt too deep. The hottest spots got a dose of retardant on Saturday, and there has been a reduction of calls to our operations centre.

              I'm still going to try and get up in the chopper again though!!

                  Wait till all you get to see is farmland/scrubland and a screen with coloured lines on it.
                  Choppers are amazingly easy to fall asleep in. Even with the doors off.
