  • Help! Weird yukky slug invasion - Pic added

Horribly icky black wormy slimy slugs have appeared in our bathroom and are also on the walls outside :o. Please help - how do we get rid of them!?! Also slightly curious as to what they actually are, where they came from and what their business is, but mostly interested in how to kill them ^_^

Salt will kill slugs, but in terms of getting rid of the source, well I suppose you need to find out where they are coming from.

                Definitely looks like a millipede.

Rain brings them out though ... not exactly wet at the moment

Looks like they scavenge in decaying herbivorous matter, so maybe move the woodpile and any leaf litter away from the house ... oh and empty the dirty clothes hamper every so often

Well our neighbour had their Cape Lilac cut down just recently so we have a fair bit of residual leaf litter from that - perhaps thats been their hideout. And if they like the rain I guess thats why they prefer our bathroom. Thanks for identifying the lil creepies.

I've removed probably 300 or so of them from the veranda and front door tonight alone.

                            It's madness.

if you wanna get rid of them go to bunnings and get some coopex, then just spray it around the house if they are in plauge proportions. we usually get thousands around the place after rain and it always works a treat.
