                • How many frames in the stitch? i do a lot of landscape stitches, up to 36 frames, but never one of the night sky. The Samyang I am looking it is a fully manual model, extremely good optics for the price apparently, some of the top guys swear by them for night sky work. For only about $A450, couldn't go wrong.

                  • about 8 or 9 from memory. I would have loved to do a large pano, but the files would kill my computer and the consistency of overlapping between rows would have been tricky without a proper nodal ninja (imo).

                    Samyang's great, find the sharpest point of focus at infinity and mark it on the lens (this comes in handy for astro).
